Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist
Often you may believe that things will never get better or that you will always feel this way. It may be a relatively new problem, or a problem that you have had for years.
At times you may feel overwhelmed and as though you are unable to cope. There may be days where you can function, however there may be some days where just getting out of bed in the mornings can be a struggle.

Sometimes people feel too embarrassed to tell someone about these feelings. Good news, you have already taken the first step.
That’s where Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) can help you to overcome your difficulties and to help you gain a different perspective.
Here at Inspiring Minds Therapy we offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental place to help you achieve your goals.
About Me
An accredited BABCP therapist
(British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies) offering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in North London. The therapy can be delivered either in person at the clinic, or online.
The National Institute of Health and Care excellence (NICE) recommend CBT for depression and anxiety as a first line treatment.
An experienced psychotherapist that has been helping young people (13+) and adults of all ethnic backgrounds and cultures, dating back to 2005.
Featured as a writer in a mental health column, as part of a well-known parenting magazine (See blog section).
Since I was an adolescent I have always had an interest in the way people think and why they behave the way they do.

Post all of my academic achievements, I have been working in the mental health field since 2005 and have helped many people with both short term and long term difficulties also achieve their personal goals.

“Change your thoughts and you change your world.”

In 2005, I was employed as a practitioner in a secure psychiatric ward, dealing with young people and adults with difficulties such as personality disorder, schizophrenia and bipolar affective disorder.

Subsequently in 2007, I worked in the community outreach team dealing with adults exhibiting problems such as psychosis, schizoid affective disorder and schizophrenia.

I currently practice as a CBT therapist, working with individuals ranging from mild to more severe presentations of anxiety and depression disorders such as obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), social anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), health anxiety, phobias, stress, panic disorder (with or without agoraphobia) and depression.

My role also involves supervising other practitioners, ensuring they are practicing safely and within the NICE guidelines.

Services/Fees
Assessment Session
This is the initial meeting between the therapist and client. It usually lasts between 50 minutes to an hour.
It gives you the chance to find out how the therapy works and provides an opportunity for us to explore your current problem(s), and for you to talk briefly about your goals moving forward.

After the assessment we will discuss if CBT may be suitable. If CBT is suitable, then we will agree on how to proceed with starting the therapy and number of sessions recommended to complete treatment.
However if CBT is not suitable, then you may be signposted to a more appropriate service.
Therapy Session
The therapy sessions usually last 50 minutes and they take place the same day and time each week.
Appointments & Fees
Appointments are available face-to-face, phone and via online on zoom video.

All UK residents can access the service through zoom sessions, or over the phone. This is a flexible approach for those that want to avoid travelling, or are unable to travel to and from sessions i.e. those with young children or those that have long-term physical conditions. There has been a significant amount of research that has shown that therapy over the telephone and/or online is as effective as face-to-face.
